SimplyMiles® is a program available for AAdvantage® members to earn miles and Loyalty Points when shopping with their favorite brands both in store and online.

SimplyMiles® is open to AAdvantage members who reside in the US and hold a valid Mastercard.

Enrollment in SimplyMiles® is quick and easy. Log in with your current AAdvantage® credentials (AAdvantage® # or user name and, link one or more payment cards, and accept the program disclosures.

American Airlines and Citi® partnered to enroll your card safely and securely into the program. The only remaining item to complete registration is to login and accept the program and credit card terms and conditions.

If you have received a new or replacement card it takes up to two (2) months for that to be securely provided to SimplyMiles®. Meanwhile, you can login to the SimplyMiles website and enter the card number yourself and start earning.

No, participation in SimplyMiles® is free.

SimplyMiles® offers are available to all current members. Add one or more valid credit cards to your SimplyMiles® account, link available offers, shop and pay with your linked card. You will automatically earn award miles and Loyalty Points on qualifying purchases.

No, PayPal® transactions (or any other 3rd party facilitator) are not eligible to earn miles and Loyalty Points from SimplyMiles®

There is no additional cost to participate in SimplyMiles®.

Currently SimplyMiles® is open to holders of any valid U.S. Mastercard®. We'll be adding more options in the future. Stay tuned.

There is no restriction on the number of payment cards you can register in SimplyMiles®. You may add or remove your registered payment cards in the Account page on SimplyMiles®.

Please contact SimplyMiles® customer service with the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card number, along with the member number of the old account, where the card is already enrolled, and we will get it resolved.

The miles can only be associated with the card enrolled in the program. You will need to contact SimplyMiles® customer service to have the card removed from your profile then your partner can add it to theirs.

Log into SimplyMiles®, and go to Account page to adjust communication preferences.

  • AAdvantage® miles expire 18 months after you earn them unless there’s some activity in your account. Luckily, you can reset the expiration date by either earning or redeeming miles, which means that there are dozens of ways to keep your miles fresh for your next award flight.
  • Accessing “Your account” will show the number of miles you have and the earliest date they could expire.

AAdvantage® members track their qualification toward reaching AAdvantage® status by earning Loyalty Points. Each year the Loyalty Points tracker begins on March 1 and goes through the last day of the following February. For example, qualification for 2023 begins on March 1, 2023 and ends on February 29, 2024. Your Loyalty Point balance will reset to zero on March 1, 2024.   2. View offers details and activate the offer.
  3. Use one of your registered cards to complete the purchase.
  4. Based on your credit card transactions, we will credit your SimplyMiles® account with your earned miles and Loyalty Points.

If a merchant processes your online order in separate transactions, you may only earn an award on the first processed transaction if it meets all other offer criteria.

In order to earn miles and Loyalty Points for selected offers you will be required to activate each offer. This can be done by clicking on the “Add to Card” button associated with selected offers.

Please refer to each offer for how to earn awards. For activated offers, make your purchase with your linked payment card. No coupons or interaction at the store is required. Miles and Loyalty Points will be awarded based on eligibility.

New offers are being added regularly. Check back on the site or keep an eye out for our SimplyMiles® email.

In most cases miles and Loyalty Points will be awarded within 10-15 business days, but in some cases can take up to 30 business days.

We reserve the right to deduct miles and Loyalty Points should you make a return/exchange.

There is no limit to the number of miles and Loyalty Points that can be earned through SimplyMiles®. Please check each offer for terms and conditions.

No, offers cannot be combined or stacked with offers from other programs.

Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after, provided that Mastercard receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.

  • For SimplyMiles® Program: You can click the 'view profile' link in the top right-hand corner of SimpyMiles.com. This link will bring you to the page where you can add or remove your AAdvantage® credit card. Just click on 'remove your card' link and your card will be unenrolled in the program.
  • For Promotional Emails: There is a link to unsubscribe on the bottom of each Promotional email you get.

Merchant offerings on SimplyMiles® change on a weekly basis, there is no recurring list as for it. We’ll be adding more options in the near future. Stay tuned.

There will be no change in how miles will post. Those earned from SimplyMiles® will post from SimplyMiles® while AAdvantage Dining™ will reflect Dining.

All it takes is to join SimplyMiles® with an eligible Mastercard, you will get the option to join AAdvantage Dining™ at the same time.

Unless clearly labeled as "earn bonus miles," the miles you earn through SimplyMiles will be Loyalty Points eligible base miles.
